The A.B. Duke Scholarship Program provides more than a merit-based financial award. It offers support for the intellectually adventurous and curious. In addition to receiving financial awards covering full tuition, room and board, and all mandatory fees, A. B. Duke Scholars are encouraged to develop their own curricula and program-funded research projects. The A.B. Duke Scholars Program provides eight semesters of full tuition, room and board, and mandatory fees to Duke University. Scholars also have access to generous funding for domestic and international summer experiences. Every applicant to Duke University is considered for 8 out of the 9 merit scholarships offered at Duke University.
Scholarship Requirements:All applicants to Duke who demonstrate exceptional promise, intellectual hunger, and an inquisitive spark may be considered candidates for the A.B. Duke Scholarship.
How To Apply:Finalists are selected based on the individual criteria for each scholarship. Finalists for the Alumni, A.B. Duke, B.N. Duke, Reginaldo Howard, Robertson, University, and Trinity scholarships will be invited to participate in a four-day campus visit at the end of March that will include an interview and opportunities to meet with faculty and current scholars. Those selected as finalists will be notified early March by email. Other scholarships may include a phone or Skype interview as part of the finalist process.
